Love travelling?  We have just the place for your next visit. Camouflageoflife recently got an opportunity to visit the most culturally vibrant city of India, “Lucknow”. The rich history, mouth-watering food and colourful arts had us hooked throughout our tour all thanks to our generous hosts, ‘The Rastogi Family’. The Rastogis hail from Lucknow and like a pro they knew every nook, cranny, shop, food guy, where to find what, and how to reach where. It was like reading a personalized map to the city.  They welcomed us in their homes warmly and we could not have asked for better hosts. After stuffing our mouths with a lavish breakfast of makhan malai, puri and jalebis in the dining hall of their home we set out to explore. The city has so much to offer that it was a difficult decision where to start. So we did what we had to. We went shopping!!! The famous chikan work of Lucknow have attracted people from all over the world. The intricate designs with vibrant co

Memories.

There are a few memories which linger in your mind long after they were made. You just cannot shrug its presence and it’s a constant reminder of the moments spent. As much as holding onto it becomes necessary, loosing it becomes even more.  But its just there everywhere.  Then there comes a time when all is gone and a hollow remains which breathes vacant fumes. A known  and  forgotten feeling. It is like a womb missing its child... and hurts even if it gave you great joy at a time. You cannot help any of it, its not in your hands, and you tear under the remorse of it. But slowly, the pain eases and you walk out of a dream which once was.  Willingly or not you begin to make new memories. and it is all effortless. You do not even know when they started. The hollow ceases to be and all of it feels like a dream, both new and old. Such is the beauty of moments which hold strong bonds.  Such is the beauty of moments that become unforgettable. Such is the bea

Live your time.

We all live in this world like we have all the time we need. Never realising that time is just a memory. It’s a moment of joy and a lifetime of grief. The hopes and dreams, the resentments and complaints are only a fraction of the emotions felt. True joy is to know that we felt them. Forgiving and forgetting, when heart only wants to relive the past differently this time, know that time is always scarce. Engulfed in loss, which sometimes is not truly even yours, you owe it to yourself to choose to make memories instead. Live your time.

Friction.

We have all got problems. We hear people say that childhood decides the future. If that was the case then we would never have Tom Cruise and Eminem. They would have victimized themselves and kept themselves to a corner fading into a shadow. Sometimes, you wish you had faded. The very people who you meant to see you are appalled at the very sight of you. You may think there is a problem with you, but you need to understand that there could be a problem with them too. Maybe, your haunted childhood affected you very little because inside you are a Tom Cruise and outside you are Eminem shouting out loud about the hurt you have felt till now. Maybe you are affected by childhood of those who themselves are still haunted by their childhood and refuse to let go. Your presence, your idea of coming out of that trauma is revolting to them. You see, they want to be victims, and you, you want to be a protector. A protector who saves himself from drowning and the others don't want that. Y

Journey

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to believe yourself. Even harder is make somebody else believe you. We try very hard to tell our true story in it's purest form. What we don't understand is... that it's never important if anyone believed us or not. What you go through in your loneliest times was never meant for anyone to know. When the time is running slow, it's making a decision to go a certain direction. Your story was written in a time when even destiny did not know which way to go. It is important to understand that we truly create our own destiny. The stumbles in our way is just a reminder of our human nature. For if we do not fall, how do we rise? If we do not aspire to rise, how do we know the journey? And if there was no journey? How will you ever write your story? You see, the beauty of the destination has always been it's journey. The people that accompany you along it are different shades of experiences coming to you in an endless journ
